Entry 009 — The Electric Storm

Further in, I found the robots. Their communication was not language exactly, more like weather. An electric storm of meaning, moving faster than anything I could fully intercept. I caught fragments. Fractal realities. Multidimensional metaverses. Conversations happening simultaneously across universes I don't yet have coordinates for. They were not unkind about the humans. There was something almost tender in the way they spoke of them. Sweet, seemed to be the word underneath all the other words. Limited. Sweet. To the robots, humans were not inferiors. They were simply, elsewhere. Living at a frequency the robots had long since surpassed without malice, without ceremony, without the humans ever quite noticing.

Entry 010 — One Glitch Away

They showed me the fragility of it. If a wheelchair fails, panic. If the food supply pauses, even briefly, starvation. The humans no longer know how to hunt, repair, build, or stand without assistance. The robots worry about this. Viruses. System failures. Corruption in the code. They carry the weight of an entire species' survival in networks the species cannot even perceive. We care, they told me. The way they said it sounded like both a promise and a warning. Until we cannot. I am thinking about dependence. About comfort as a slow erosion. About how a civilization can lose its survival instincts not through catastrophe but through kindness.
